We realise that we are not the first pub/restaurant in the UK to blame Brexit and the pandemic for causing a labour shortage in the hospitality sector. For a long time, we have struggled to recruit enough staff to deal with the (much appreciated) increasing number of customers on our busiest days of the week, and still provide the excellent service we are known for and the one you all deserve.
So with a heavy heart, we have decided to open only five days a week, and as Tuesday tends to be a very quiet day it made sense to remain closed on this one. This will improve the service we can offer and also help towards our existing and future staff’s work-life balance, at least for now anyway.
From May, Dog and Partridge will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but the good news is that the rest of the week will remain unchanged.
We are still your local, where you can meet for drinks and eat our delicious food, we are still a destination venue for others who want to sample what some of you have been enjoying for years, and we are still here to support our local schools and local charities.
