Calves liver, regrettably so rarely seen on a menu nowadays, were fantastic and others said they were equally enthused about their main course.

The ambience was great, the food was sublime and the portions were very decent. Save room for desserts, particularly the salted caramel cheese cake and the pistachio and custard tart specials.

We found this venue on a google search of good pubs close to Pennyhill Park (15 minutes away). We all went for the set lunch menu which was really good value. The food was delicious, especially the mushroom dumpling starter (my friend literally licked the plate clean!).

This was the best pub meal we have had in a long time. crispy yet fluffy roast potatoes, light crispy Yorkshire pudding and tender meat all contributed to an excellent Sunday roast. The chocolate, rum and raisin cheesecake was to die for!

We don’t just do great food. We also have an extensive range of different types of beers from different countries. We buy ales locally from Rebellion Brewery in Marlow and stock everyone’s favour, London Pride. We partnered with local distilleries in Henley and Surrey Hills ( Silent Pool ) to source some of our gins and rums.

If you are a tea connoisseur or enjoy a good cuppa, we offer a selection of Birchall teas.
