Sundays are all about enjoying succulent meat and spending time together.

The Classic Sunday Roast: A Feast for the Senses

A Sunday roast at Dog and Partridge is not just a meal; it’s a cherished tradition, a weekly celebration of flavours, family, and togetherness.

Can you picture a beautifully roasted joint of meat, perfectly browned with savoury juices? The aroma spreads through the air, teasing your senses long before you take your first bite. The star of the show can vary from succulent cuts of beef, tender lamb, juicy chicken, or even a butternut squash and mushroom Wellington, depending on your preference.

Accompanying the meat are seasonal vegetables, crispy potatoes, and our large Yorkshire pudding, a fluffy and savoury pastry that’s the perfect vessel for soaking up the rich gravy, which we always prepare in large quantities so you can ask for more.

If you are not a roast person, there are specially selected old-time favourites from our a la carte menu available on Sunday.

Sunday’s menu


Chestnut mushroom dumplings served with ginger, spring onions and soy. £8, a bowl of tomato soup served with chunky country bread and butter. £8, succulent prawn cocktail, crisp lettuce and lemon. £9, Pork and Armagnac rillettes, toasted country bread, apple sauce. £11, Thyme and chilli marinated crispy squid, sweet chilli sauce, lemon. £14

Sunday roasts

Roasted sirloin of beef £20, Roasted leg of lamb £22, Roasted chicken £19 or Butternut squash and mushroom Wellington £17.

They all come with crispy roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, gravy and the Yorkshire pudding.

Children’s roast beef or chicken portions are available at £10 each.

Our old-time favourite  main courses

Beef burger with a choice of cheese £17, our signature D&P burger, which comes with five toppings, cheese, fried onions, onion rings, fried egg and onion rings £19.

Crispy battered fish and chips £18, Honey & herb roasted salmon served with vine cherry tomatoes and parmesan risotto £21, vegan wild mushroom risotto served with crispy baby courgettes and truffle oil £18.
